Dear Friend: Since 1933, the Visiting Nurse Association of Mercer County has served the residents of Mercer County with home health care and hospice services provided by multidisciplinary health professionals. Because recovery, rehabilitation, and care for chronic diseases and conditions is happening in the home, the Visiting Nurse Association is there to make it possible – 24 hours a day/7 days a week. Their home health care professionals successfully combine skill with compassion and care. I, for one, experienced that first hand and I am grateful! I needed the services of the Visiting Nurse Association when I was discharged from the hospital following a fall which made me feel quite unsteady and insecure. A care plan was set up and I received the services of a physical therapist and a home health aide in my most comfortable surrounding, my home! With their assistance and support, I again gained confidence and security to “get back on my feet”. I not only received instruction on care for self and how to avoid falls, but I came to enjoy their company... they became my friend! Many of your neighbors here in Mercer County are able to remain in their homes because of the Visiting Nurse Association. By supporting them, you can help yourself and others to receive comprehensive home care and hospice services within the home environment! Send your gift today to the Visiting Nurse Association of Mercer County and help them to continue providing services for all of us in Mercer County.
